Day 01- Yangon – Arrival
Welcome by our guide on your arrival and transfer to hotel. Sightseeing to Shwedagon Pagoda; over 2500 years old and one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, Sule Pagoda; over 2000 years old and its surrounding the old colonial style building in the city centre, Botahtaung Pagoda; the ancient monument stood close to Yangon wharves. Welcome dinner with culture show at Karaweik Royal Barge. Overnight is at the hotel in Yangon.
Day 02- Yangon – Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Bagan. Tour highlights are Shwezigon Pagoda was built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as the first Buddhist building , Ananda Temple which has four Buddha Images in standing position and reliefs depicting the Buddha from his birth to his Enlightenment, Thatbyinnyu Temple the highest white stucco building in Bagan, Htilominlo Temple, Dhamanyangyi Bagan’s most massive temple, Mahuha Temple was built by King Manuhar from Thaton in 1059, in Mon Styled, Myinkabar Gubyaukgyi Temple as known for its wall painting depicting scenes from the Jataka. Visit Shwesandaw Pagoda for sunset. Overnight is at the hotel in Bagan.
Day 03- Bagan – Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel transfer to Nyaung U Airport and depart to Mandalay. Upon arrival at Mandalay Airport, proceed to Amarapura. Visit Mahagandayon where one may observe the daily life of the monks studying Buddha’s scriptures, U Bein Bridge; 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge that built in 1749 and spanning the Taung Tha Man Lake. Continue to Mahamuni Pagoda; a spectacular Buddha Image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery) a superb example of Myanmar traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda; the world’s biggest book for its 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures which built by King Mondon in 1868. Evening visit to Mandalay Hill, where located 230 meters in elevation for a panoramic view of the city and sunset. Stay overnight in Mandalay.
Day 04- Mandalay – Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo
After breakfast flight to Yangon, a long excursion trip 190 km east of Yangon to Kyaikhtiyo. Arrive at Kyaikhtiyo base camp, 11 km up hill hike with local open trucks to Yathe Taung middle camp which takes 45 minutes drives up. Then mountain hiking to Golden Rock, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. Stay overnight at Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 5- Kyaikhtiyo - Yangon – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Yangon and then Yangon International airport for departure in the evening.
