Cultural Showcase of Mandalay

Yangon - Mandalay - Yangon

Day 1-Yangon

Welcome on arrival Yangon, transfer to hotel start sightseeing to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, Sule Pagoda; over 2000 years old surrounding and the colonial style building in the city centre, and then visit National Museum. In the evening walk around China town to see local market and people ways of life. Welcome dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

Day 2-Yangon- Mandalay

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Yangon International Airport and leave for Mandalay. Upon arrival at Mandalay Airport proceed directly to Amarapura, an ancient capital from 11km south at Mandalay. Visit to U Bain Bridge; 1.2km long over 200years old wood bridge built over Taungthaman lake, Mahagandayon Monastery; home to several thousand young monks as a center for monastic study and strict religious disciplines and then silk weaving home cottage. Continue to Mandalay sightseeing including Mahamuni Pagoda, Mandalay palace, Shwenandaw Monastery, Atumashi, Kuthodaw Pagoda and enjoy the sunset view from the Mandalay Hill. Stay overnight at hotel in Mandalay

Day 3- Mandalay

Morning, visit to Jetty where the Myanmar last king exiled to India by the British troop. Then Shwe-In- Bin Monastery is large elegant quite peaceful the teak Monastery. Next visit to Jade Market; an all timer of a lively Market, with shoulder- to- shoulder local carrying green Jade items on pieces of paper, trying to trade with side-by- side sellers on the crammed walkways. You can see workers cutting and polishing Jade pieces. Then transfer to Mandalay airport for domestic flight and fly back to Yangon.
